Overall Rolyd performance (issues see this thread)
Rolyd.com has a complex network infrastructure. Some problems are not easily found. If you notice increased latency (lag) accessing either the website or game server please let us know in this thread. Be as descriptive as possible. Let us know where you are (site, game, location in game), the time you experienced the issue, and any other information you feel is relevant. Please keep in mind this is a thread for technical problems only.

To do a traceroute follow these steps...
Windows (all versions)
1. Press Windows key+R A run dialog box will appear.
2. type CMD (then press enter) The Dos prompt will appear.
3. type the following, tracert rolyd.com (Press enter)
4. Highlight all the text that appears once it says it is complete. Some Windows versions you must right click the window and choose "Mark" to highlight. Once selected do nothing and go to step 5.
5. press Ctrl+C
6. return here and in your post press Ctrl+V

(Linux can be more complicated. To be honest if you are using Linux you really should already know how to traceroute to a server. If not the above website tells you and it also has some really good resources to learning Linux code.)
To do a ping report follow all the above except type "ping rolyd.com" instead of tracert

How to get a copy of a direct x diagnostic report.
(Please note, this gives detailed information about your system components, drivers, and Operating System. However, this does not display any sensitive information what-so-ever. Your personal details including IP address are not in the report and are not important for diagnostic purposes.)
1. Press the Windows Key+R to bring up the command window.
2. type (without the quotes) "dxdiag" and press ENTER
3. Check all tabs to ensure it says "No problems found." (We will need to know if it does.) It will appear at the bottom.
4. At the bottom is a link which says, Save All Information. Click this.
5. Save the file to your desktop for easy retrieval.
6. Open the newly created dxdiag.txt file and press Ctrl+A
7. Press Ctrl+C
8. Return to your post and press Ctrl+V
9. All done.
