Sunrise Update
Sunrise certainly looks good, it's also proving popular and there has been plenty going on. This update is to show you what's been happening and where there are blocks available for you to join the city!
Huioliver helped me to put over 250 street and road signs in Sunrise. Now all the streets have names and everyone living there has an address, such as 4, Forest Road, North Sunrise. Tell your friends how to get to your house from the nearest warp by giving them easy directions!
Road signs also give you easy directions to all the suburbs, with distances in Km and Metres. Want to ride from Wolf Bane to BBQ ranch? Easy. Take Sunrise Esplanade west from Wolf Bane, turn north in Sunrise at Sunrise Boulevard and ride to North Sunrise. The ranch is at the end of BBQ Ranch road
The suburbs are: Sunrise (/warp sunrise). North Sunrise (/warp nsunrise), Wolf Bane (/warp wolfbane), Manhattan (/warp manhattan)and Shoal Harbour (/warp shoalharbour). You can even sail a boat from Sunrise to Shoal Harbour, follow the glowstones and signs by the water. Its worth exploring to find the way, because there will be a race using boats and horses organised next month....
Manhattan

As in the famous island of New York, Manhattan is getting a skyscraper skyline. The Syscraper Build comp (http://rolyd.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1496) is producing some amazing buildings. It's an easy comp to make money from, because each of the nine skyscrapers will win a $100,000 prize. When the comp is all finished, the admins will award a $1,000,000 prize to the best overall building in Sunrise, so you have two chances to win!
There are only two skyscrapers left to build now, both luxury apartment complexes, with great waterfront views. Visit /warp sunbuild to see build sites and people's progress, or choose your own to build. Entry is free.
Sunbuild contains large glass frames that show the size of the building. This makes sure that the Manhattan skyline will look like the designs, giving a great view from the town and some of the posh suburbs. Skyscrapers are moved from sunbuild to manhattan once they are completed, Some have already been moved, such as the Police station, Cow Industries HQ and the Food Factory. Vegan has also designed some extremely smart scaffolding, which can be custom fitted to your skyscraper build for $5000. This allows easy access to all the floors for building.
There is a temporary admin shop supplying building materials onsite at sunbuild. This will be removed after the comp. In the meantime, it saves all the travelling back and forth while you build.
Visit /warp manhattan to see finished buildings and the new skyline taking shape, its worth a night visit to see all the lights!
Millionaires Row, Manhattan
For seriously rich people only, this very exclusive suburb has only 4 huge blocks that are priced from $1,000,000 upwards. Its an easy walk to the Manhattan Skyscrapers, and a nice stroll along Sunrise Esplanade into the main town, or shopping at the mall. Breathtaking views all round the millionaires blocks include The Manhattan Skyline, the Wolf Bane Forest. From this centrally locted suburb, there are easy roads north, past the Museum of Modern Art through Nottingham Forest and on to North Sunrise, East through Wolf Bane to Shoal Harbour and west to Sunrise city.
Exclusive moorings in Sunrise harbour are reserved for Millionaires Row residents to keep their Super Yachts moored for parties after work in the city.
Each of the four Millionaires Row blocks has a double chest containing exclusive items for the millionaires. No, you cant find out what they are. If you cant afford to buy, you can't afford to ask.
Building restrictions apply, to preserve the quality of this top class environment. Untidy, ugly buildings, or buildings that break the rules will be demolished. This is where the rich and powerful will live. If you are rich and powerful, contact Vegan or Meach for an exclusive tour.
Anyone can go and look, but watch out for security guards and aggressive dogs, rich people don't like others snooping around!
Wolf Bane
/warp wolfbane. Or ride east from manhattan, West from Shoal Harbour, or follow the signs south from North Sunrise (There is vegans new bridge and a shortcut near the museum of Modern Art!)
Wolf Bane is a small suburb east of sunrise, between Manhattan and Shoal Harbour. Its about a 5 minute ride from Sunrise, or use the warp.
Wolf Bane is wooded with pine forest and there are wolves running all over from the ice forests to the north. All the wolves you see in Sunrise come from Wolf Bane. Land around Wolf Bane is a nature reserve and is protected, so that no one can build or trash it in any way.
There are four very large blocks available, which have been partly cleared. They all have natural hills and slopes, so they are perfect for a house that melts into the environment. There is a build limit, at tree height, to stop people obstructing their neighbours views. The views are worth it, with parkland to the east and north, the coast to the south and the best view of the Manhattan skyline. Blocks in Wolf Bane cost around $100,000. Building restrictions apply.
North Sunrise
/warp nsunrise or ride north from sunrise along the length of Sunrise Boulevard - the large double lane road to the left of the main sunrise warp
This popular suburb is about 1km ride north of sunrise. Its an easy ride, on a big, straight road and takes about 3-4 minutes. There are no building restrictions in North Sunrise and there are cheap blocks available, so this is a good place to start. The BBQ ranch is at the north-east corner, on the end of BBQ Ranch Road. You can get horses and horse stuff here at cheap sunrise-resident prices.
There are three large blocks at the top end of sunrise (see image above), these are all around the $100,000 mark, and have been selling quickly. If you can afford one, you will need to buy quickly.
New blocks at very affordable prices are available in North Sunrise, just east of the nsunrise warp. When you arrive at the nsunrise warp, turn right into Oak Tree Road (pic below).
Prices here start at $30,000 and there are no building restrictions. There are about 8 blocks available,but people are already after some, so buy quick if you want to choose the best spots! There are several roads in this suburb that have not yet been named. People who build quickly will be allowed to choose their own street name.
There are also a few blocks available just north of Sunrise City centre (see pic below, with smegjez and hui's places being built) Building restrictions apply near Sunrise, and blocks are expensive, typically costing $400,000 or more. If you are fairly rich and can build well, contact meach or vegan ingame for details. You can get to this area to check it out by either going north on Sunrise Boulevard, then turning right at the Bookshop, or follow Forest Road north from Manhattan.
Meach's shop at the Sunrise mall has exclusive items that are only sold in Sunrise. Its opposite the main Sunrise warp, so go check it out.

Your building is then inspected and, if approved, moved free of charge to your block in Sunrise.
