Lotto machine?...anyone?

I made a combination lock at my house in atlantis. It would light up 1-5 lights with each successful or unsuccessful attempt to open the "lock." Essentially based on the redstone lamp lit would tell me which combo to enter. It would really just cycle 3 piston blocks in a pre-determined path which changes each time the system is triggered in a very specific pattern. Five different patterns made it hell for someone else to figure it out. Each piston would either pull a block out of the circuit or complete it with one. In words…its complicated. In practice not really. Here is the bad thing…
It takes up a fair bit of space…AND…it is all beneath the floor. My version which is really as compact as I could get it and it goes down about 15 blocks deep and is about 50x50 blocks.
I would suggest something similar in that a player must guess the pattern of buttons to press to find the winning sequence. However, you will need a bit of space.
If you build a circuit with a memory and random number generator it can be done with surprisingly a small amount of space. You just need to google those things. If you get a number generator built from google searching I will help you to add the user input part of the build.
well I'm alright with redstone not the best but I'm pretty decent but I probably can't do that so....
